After 5 years as a top make up artist with Chanel Cosmetics, Rachel Demolfetto knew that the beauty industry was her chosen career.
In 1989, at 26 she purchased an aesthetic salon in East Islip where she began establishing her spa career. She then joined an exclusive salon on the Miracle Mile on Long Island’s North Shore assisting in managing a 40 chair operator and spa facility. In September 1994, she opened Racine Salon de Beaute & Spa in Islip, NY with her sister Cynthia Sansone. What began as a small operation has now grown to be a hugely successful community-driven full Spa & Salon and landmark in the town of Islip.
Rachel began to realize how important it was to give back to the community as she began chairing several fund raising events and programs. Keeping benevolence close to her heart, Rachel, Cynthia and team Racine provide support and beauty services for people going through treatment for Cancer. Rachel, Cynthia Sansone and their team have garnered many accolades, citations and awards for the Mondays at Racine Cancer Care Program. The Documentary, Monday’s at Racine has went on to receive many film festival awards as well as being nominated for Best Documentary Short by the Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Rosemary Holcomb is a practicing Licensed Practical Nurse, Medical Esthetician, and Registered Laser Technician. Along with her Nursing experience totaling 15 years, she has been successfully treating clients for over 13 years at Racine Salon and Spa in Islip, New York and has 5 years of experience with laser hair removal. Rosemary continues to attend various and lectures on the subject. She is currently an expert at Candela Gentle Lase Alexandrite Laser.
Rosemary’s other passion is helping teens with hormonal acne. She has personally trained with Dr Howard Murad of Murad Inc. in advanced acne and anti aging techniques with microdermabrasion and dermatologist created products to provide her clients with a more youthful, natural looking seminars appearance. Beyond her high proficiency, Rosemary brings her gifts of warmth, compassion and respect to each person she comes in contact with. While all the while, keeping up with the latest medical health standards by attending various courses related to infectious diseases, therefore maintaining a high level of a clean, safe environment.
Karla oversees all of Racine’s strategic communications, marketing activities and creative campaigns. Deeply committed to her work she continually strives to promote and clearly convey the vision of Racine Salon and Spa. Together with Racine, she is also the Executive Director at Mondays at Racine, weaving together the program’s mission to that of the everyday benevolence and creative force that is Racine Salon and Spa. Hey I’m Sarah, hair has been my passion as long as I can remember. I have been working behind a chair for over ten years and couldnt imagine doing anything else with my life, my favorite things to do are colors and highlighting techniques, all types of hair cutting and styling, and I love doing updos as well. I’m so excited to join this team and continue my forever passion.
My love of hair started at the age of 15 from there I was lucky to learn from the best in the business Sassoon style cutting to Orlando Pita styling. Hair is my passion as well as makeup. I love making people feel beautiful on the inside and out .. I’ve trained with platform colorists from lorel on the latest trendiest color techniques out there.
Jessica joined the Racine team in November 2013 as Rachel’s assistant. She came to us with extensive customer service and managerial experience in the wellness and beauty industry.
Jessica is a master multi-tasker who takes pride in all that she does and demonstrates her talent on a regular basis. Responsible for the efficient and professional operation of the salon, as well as the complete satisfaction of our guests, she holds her staff accountable to the high performance standards of our elite salon.

Tiffanie joined the Racine team in November 2013 as an assistant and it did not take long before she graduated to have her own hi profile chair. From a young age Tiffanie always knew that she would be in the beauty industry. She not only has a passion for hair styling but also a love for helping people find new styles and creating modern beautiful design. She is an artist through and through but she also has a huge heart to match!
Hello , my name is Jessica LaRocca I have been in the beauty industry for 22 years with 18 of them doing Nails professionally on a regular basis. I enjoy making people feel good while they are in my chair & after they leave as well. Its important to me to learn , educate & grow in my craft so I can be aware of the latest & most up to date fashions in this industry . Deanna has been a licensed esthetician and makeup artist for over 12 years. She has spent the last several years at Boom Boom Brow Bar in NYC and specializes in eyebrow artistry, full body waxing and is a very sought out make up artist whose specialty is in bridal. Among her many unique talents she also is an eyelash extension expert and has in-depth experience in airbrush tanning. She is chock full of nuts with talent and creativity and is an asset to The Racine family.
Alexa Dall is a passionate hairstylist for Racine. She has been intrigued by this industry from the moment she was introduced to creating and designing hair through color and styling. Alexa graduated Eastern Suffolk BOCES in 2008 and strived in Fran Cook Competition and State Competitions for evening Hairstyling. Her inspiration comes from everyday life and is devoted to continually beautifying men and women from the inside-out.
Alexa holds certificates for Agave smoothing hair treatments and Neo/Global/Dreamcatcher Hair extensions.
When Chantille Kjeka graduated the nail specialty course 15 years ago, she went full force into acrylic nails and specialized in nail art and design. Through the many years of nail technologies, Chantille currently specializes in LCN (light concept resin) gels. She received many certificates in advanced workshops, and is always looking for the newest and best nail techniques. She also does acrylics, fiberglass, and pedicures. And the latest, the most natural and long lasting manicure Axxium and Shellac. Chantille fully enjoys her career at Racine Salon, as a nail specialist and loves making people feel great about their appearance.
Christine Rideout been a massage therapist for about 7 years now, and finds her job more and more rewarding everyday. She says with great passion”It is a great feeling to know that I am able to help clients feel better, and be proactive in their quest to achieve optimum health”. Since the beginning of her career, she have been working at Racine’s and is very proud to be part of such a successful business that cares so much for their clients, as well as their staff.
Cynthia , who is the cin of Racine has worked in the makeup industry for 25 years and is expert in all phases of makeup application, including master lash applications, and cool brow shaping. Her passion for makeup started when she was 5 years old, and became fascinated by the transformation that makeup could make. From the natural to the sublime, and everything in between, she will make you feel like queen for the day!Check out her bridal photos to see her trademark gleaming brides. She is lucky to be working with her sister in such a great company that allows her to travel abroad, as well as around the country to seek out the latest and the greatest in the world of beauty!
Being at Racine for 16+ years is a blessing in itself. I consider myself lucky to have such a great clientele and staff beside me. Throughout the years I have learned so many exciting techniques as well new ways to better myself each time as a stylist. I specialize in just about everything with from hair extensions to color and cuts. I work hard to continue to further my education and have many certifications that help keep me in tune with the latest techniques and trends. Racine’s own hair department manage has had a passion for hair and fashion since she was a little girl. Being so sure of her career path, Jamie enrolled in a cosmetology program while still in high school. She started behind the sink at Racine at the age of 16 and now has accumulated 11 years experience at Racine and at a top salon in Florida. Racine is Jamie’s second home and although she is very comfortable with her salon “family”, she wont allow herself to get complacent in her artistic talent. In her quest to be the best in her field she has traveled to countless exclusive hair shows and elite classes. She has earned numerous certifications working side by side with leading stylists and platform artists. Fashion plays an important role in Jamie’s creative techniques which she enthusiastically shares with her clients.
Kristie has had a passion for the hair and beauty industry her whole life. She has been licensed and working at Racine Salon for more than 8 years. In that time she has mastered a wide range of hair techniques including precision cuts, agave smoothing treatments and gorgeous up-dos. However her specialty and passion is in color techniques and she masters in Dream Catchers Hair Extensions. Kristie believes in continual education and strives to stay at the forefront of her field with her knowledge of new products and services available in order to provide excellent service to her clientele.
Kristi’s proven skill set and deep commitment to her craft has led her to become the Hair Manager of the non profit Cancer Care Program, Mondays at Racine. Her authentic nurturing nature allows her to tap into the needs of her clients and bring forth the highest level of satisfaction to all who sit in her chair. We are very lucky to have her.
Maggie Fallar an Islip native, has worked at Racine Salon for 6 years. Maggies unusual love of nurturing hands and feet brought her to wanting to be a nail technician. Some of her clients call her pedicures “Magicures”. Maggie is certified in LCN gel nails and she has perfected the color gel manicure products Axxium and Shellac. Maggie loves getting to know her clients, and is very fond of them. “Coming to work and being with all the girls I work with is like being with family all day”.
