After 5 years as a top make up artist with Chanel Cosmetics, Rachel Demolfetto knew that the beauty industry was her chosen career.
In 1989, at 26 she purchased an aesthetic salon in East Islip where she began establishing her spa career. She then joined an exclusive salon on the Miracle Mile, assisting in managing a 40 chair operator and spa facility. In September 1994, she opened Racine Salon de Beaute & Spa in Islip, NY with her sister Cynthia Sansone. What began as a small operation has now grown to be a hugely successful community-driven full Spa & Salon and landmark in the town of Islip.
Rachel began to realize how important it was to give back to the community as she began chairing several fund raising events and programs. Keeping benevolence close to her heart, Racel and Racine provide support and beauty services for people going through treatment for Cancer. Which has also garnered her and her team many accolades, citations and awards as well as being the subject matter for an upcoming documentary for HBO.
