Rachel began her successful career in New York City with Chanel Cosmetics. After a few years, she knew it was time for a change, something bigger and more meaningful, leading her back to Long Island to begin the next chapter of her journey.

Rachel’s love of all thing’s beauty led to the opening of Racine Salon and Spa in Islip in 1994. She created an environment that was not only welcoming but a place for people to go to feel beautiful.

By 2003, with a thriving business, Rachel wanted to find a way to honor her mother’s memory, life, and battle with breast cancer; she succumbed to the disease in 1989. With the help of her sisters, utilizing the resources at Racine Salon, Rachel co-founded Mondays at Racine Cancer Care Foundation. Racine Salon and Spa serves as the organization's landmark program providing beauty, wellness, and health services for free to anyone fighting cancer.

Since opening its doors, Mondays at Racine has grown significantly, helping over 15,000 people to date. Today, Rachel continues to develop partner salon and spa programs and proudly serves as the organization's Executive Board Chair.

After almost thirty years as the CEO of Racine Salon and Spa, Rachel recognizes that her success is due to building a culture based on a work-life balance, continuous education, and putting her clients and staff's needs first.

She has created an intensive apprentice program that recognizes innate talents, and artists' specialties, encouraging excellence in client services. Through this, Racine Salon has had the good fortune of maintaining a devoted staff steeped in longevity. This continues to inspire growth and excitement, providing team-building opportunities, and as Rachel always says, “Working at the Racine Salon is not just a job, it's a career”.

Continually developing thoughtful partnerships with luxury brands that promote clean beauty and sustainability, Racine Salon has become a one-of-a-kind landmark space for all things beauty and wellness.
